…. was an insightful chap.  He said:

“What lies behind us and what lies before us is a tiny matter compared to what lies within us”.

Think about that for a little while – it talks of character, charisma, values and a whole host of things we are virtually born with!  I mention it as a follow up from the Thursday Thoughts! blog last week. Another addition to the leadership quality list 🙂

    Now that is deep. A good mentor helps you find that inner self and identify the qualities that are within us and how we can nurture them.

    Yes, very interesting. In some respects this leads to the thought ‘I am what I am’, and perhaps implies that we have little control over the past and future to shape who we are. But as Peggy says, perhaps being aware of your own qualities and nurturing what is already there is the best way forward. Certainly food for thought.
